Jeri Sedlar
Jeri Sedlar has been researching individuals and
organizations on issues relating to retirement risk and reward for over a decade
and has earned the title "rewiring guru."
She is a business owner, national speaker,
Senior Advisor to The Conference Board on Mature Workforce Issues, 2005 Delegate
to the White House Conference on Aging and author of the two highly acclaimed books,
DON'T RETIRE, REWIRE! and ON TARGET- Enhance Your Life and Ensure Your Success.
She and her co-author husband created the concept of rewirementŪ defined as the new way to do retirement" which focuses on finding new purpose, new passions and new work possibilities in the future that promote healthy and productive outcomes. She is an expert on helping people identify why they work beyond a paycheck, and on showing employers how to leverage and engage the mature worker using that knowledge. Her company focuses on developing rewirementŪ solutions for organizations and individuals. |

During her career, she has addressed millions through her speeches in the private and public sectors, and appearances on the TODAY SHOW, the Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, PBS and CNN. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Reader's Digest, Business Week and TIME, and she is a monthly contributor to HORSESMOUTH, a financial newsletter.
In 1994, in partnership with her husband, Rick Miners, she founded SEDLAR & MINERS, an executive search and transition coaching firm in New York City, specializing in the recruitment
of senior management for such companies as Citibank, Ernst & Young, L'OREAL and Gartner.
From 1987 to 1994, she was Editor-at-Large of WORKING WOMAN magazine. In this role she worked with the Small Business Administration and the Department of Labor, under Secretaries Elizabeth Dole and Lynn Martin, on the Glass Ceiling initiative, plus flex-time and work/life balance research.
She was honored as a 2004 Woman of Achievement by TRI DELTA sorority and is only the
second woman to sit on the board of the USS Intrepid Sea*Air*Space Museum. She is a former
member of the Board of Visitors of Wake Forest University's Calloway School of Business
and Accounting where she received the distinguished Wayne Calloway Leadership Award.
Jeri is an honorary Board Member of the YWCA and the former Chair of the YWCA's 2000
member Academy of Women Achievers. She is a member of the board of directors of CHARLES
& COLVARD, a North Carolina based NASDAQ-traded company. She is a graduate of Michigan
State University, and resides in New York City with her co-author husband.
